Alhaji – Ing. Ahmed Ewura is a team player and leads a team of qualified professionals in the design, construction and management of WASH infrastructure in small towns and small communities in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions of Ghana.
He comes with 32 years of Post qualification experience with 27 years specifically in the WASH sub-sector Ghana. For 22 years (since July 1998), his professional career as a Water and Sanitation Engineer has been devoted to working for the CWSA in the Central, Northern, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions as well as the Head Office rising through the ranks to the current position of Regional Director in August 2015. He has vast expertise in WASH infrastructure design, construction and management as well as training in O&M for sustainability.
Having overseen the successful implementation of several Donor funded projects in the WASH sub-sector in the regions he worked, coupled with numerous capacity enhancement trainings received over the years, he also comes with lots of expertise in the procurement of Works, Goods and Services as well as in Project Management.
He has previously worked for Gariba Development Associates, local Partners to Wardrop Engineering Inc. of Canada, who implemented the GAP 1 and GAP 2 (32 water projects) funded by the then CIDA for the 3 Northern Regions of Ghana in the early 90s.
Alhaji-Ing. Ahmed Ewura holds a BSc. Degree in Agricultural Engineering from KNUST, Kumasi-Ghana (1988) and a MSc. Degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Water Resources Management in Tropical Areas from the University of Applied Sciences, Nordostniedersachsen, Suderburg-Germany (1992).

Susan provides operational support for effective and efficient management of all official correspondence and documents of the Region. She ensures that information and data are appropriately collated and filed for reference and easy retrieval. She is also responsible for water system staff appraisals.
Susan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration in General Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Public Administration, Human Resource Management and a certificate in Administration and Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra.
Obed Asiedu

Obed leads the effort to ensure that safe water is provided to consumers. He develop water safety plans for water supply systems and leads its implementation process. He investigates reasons for lapses in water quality and suggests changes or solutions to these problems.
Haven worked previously as an Environmental Quality Officer with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), he brings his expertise to bear in water quality sampling and analysis. He aspires to become an expert in water treatment technologies.
Obed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology

George assists the Extension Unit of the region in facilitating the establishment of water and sanitation delivery structures and also to ensure that such facilities are managed in a sustainable manner
His responsibility is also to build the capacity of the Water System Management Staff (WSMS) to ensure that proper records are recorded to provide basis for analysis of water systems.
George has acquired a vast experience in the training of Water System Management Teams haven worked on the Eastern and Volta Regions Assistance Project (EVORAP). Before joining the Agency, he worked as the Business Development Manager at Empretec Ghana Foundation

Mabel assists the Extension Unit of the region in facilitating the establishment of water and sanitation delivery structures and also to ensure that such facilities are managed in a sustainable manner. Her responsibility is also to build the capacity of the Water System Management Staff (WSMS) to ensure that proper records are recorded to provide basis for analysis of water systems.
Mabel has 15 years post-qualification experience in WASH during which she supported the implementation of projects funded by different donors including WaterAid, UNICEF, EU, Concern Universal, Plan Ghana, Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) and IDA/World Bank.
She brings with her expertise in community development, hygiene promotion, project development and appraisal, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation as well as networking and collaboration with local NGOs, decentralized departments and communities working in water, sanitation and health/hygiene.
Maybel holds a Master’s degree in Development Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Regan is responsible for water systems general accounting, providing orientation to system management staff on the use of appropriate financial reporting formats. His expertise also covers the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial budgets, payroll and draft statements of income and expenditure and assists the maintenance of ledgers at the water systems level.
Regan previously worked at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and Kaaseman Rural Bank in various roles in accounting, financial management, budgeting and cost saving.
Regan is a product of the University of Ghana, Legon and holds a BSc. in Administration (Accounting).

Yaw is the head of the Accounts Unit of the Region. He supervises all the accounting activities for the Region. Yaw checks and confirms monthly bank reconciliation statements and monitors the various department’s budget performance. His other responsibilities includes: payroll vetting, validation of financial management reports as well as water system budgets.
Yaw holds a BSc in Administration (Accounting) and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Education Winneba and the University of Cape Coast respectively.

Divine deputizes the head of the Accounts Unit of the Region. He is responsible for the preparation of draft statements of income and expenditure on all operations of the Region as well as assisting in the preparation of financial returns and budgets.
His expertise in the use of the financial management software such as the Tally and Navision makes him responsible in the capture and maintenance of the financial data of the Region.
Among other things, he has been involved in the management of all donor-funded water and sanitation project accounts at the Regional Office.

Suzy manages the Regional Secretariat by ensuring all correspondence and documentation are properly registered and filed for reference, audit and for evidential purposes. Aside keeping the Regional Director’s diary and itinerary, she takes records of meetings.
With nearly 15 years of experience, she has worked as Secretary in various departments at the Agency’s Head Office, as well as at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Accra East.
Suzy has variegated background in Project Management, Management and Administration, as well as Accounting.

Mawuli is responsible for the construction supervision of water and sanitation projects to ensure compliance. Key amongst them is the construction of Small Town Water Supply Systems as well as electromechanical works. He supervises the construction of institutional latrines, household latrines and commercial public latrines for Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) in the quest to achieve Open Defecation Free (ODF) status for communities in the Region. He provides technical support for operation and maintenance of WASH facilities whilst facilitating the training of water system management staff in water utility management.
Mawuli is a professional member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers (GhIE) and holds a BSc Civil Engineering and an MSc Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Hydrogeologist

James supervises the work of Hydrogeology consultants and drillers to ensure compliance with prescribed standards and guidelines. He provides technical support for operation and maintenance of existing water point sources with hand pumps. Aside his experience in geophysical exploration, procurement and contract administration activities, he is responsible for the verification construction of water point sources by other stakeholders to ensure compliance with prescribed standards and guidelines.
James previously worked as the Water System Manager for Tumu Water Supply System. He holds a BSc degree in Earth Science from the University of Development Studies.
